current and YTD sales data

Hello

I'm new to Power BI desktop

I'm using the data from the Retail Analysis Sample

I created 2 charts one that shows the sales by month using the following DAX expression

Sales = SUM(Sales[Sum_Regular_Sales_Dollars])

and another chart that shows the YTD sales by month using the following expression

YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sum_Regular_Sales_Dollars]), DATESYTD('Time'[Month]))

However I get the same results

Do you use a separate date table? Try to use the date field not the month field.
