cube seen as tabular - import power bi

Hi,

we cannot use our multidimensional cube in PBI Desktop because we cannot import it as a cube.

When importing the SSAS instance, normally, opening one of the database menu we can see only the cube object.

Now, after opening the db we find a folder, in which all measure groups and dimensions are listed and need to be selected all.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

It seems you are using import mode. When connect live, it should be like this:

You aren't supposed to import a cube, you are supposed to live query it through a live connection.

Importing it flattens the cube into a huge table, and would probably crash the server.

Can you just use a live (DirectQuery) connection?

Yes, we used a Live Connection, but we see as shown as belowUntitled.jpg
