Hi,
We had our dashboard setup in a way that user can cross highlight few things on standard (Microsoft released / certified) charts and then use a boomark to show detail data behind, It was working 3 months ago (about the time when Microsoft has released it for few visuals), but now I realise this future is not working and yes I am unchecking "Data" from bookmark options.
Please let us know if this future has been removed.
Kind Regards,
Ahsan
Hi @Anonymous,
I'm a little confused about your scenario. Please share more details.
It seems that you think some charts in Power BI are not supported for cross highlight and bookmark. Could you specific these charts?
In addition, if it is convenient, could you share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)
Best Regards,
Cherry
Hi Cherry,
Create 2 visuals on a page.
a pie chart and a table.
fill with some data, aggregate value in pie chart and detail values in table.
create 2 bookmarks. 1st, to show pie chart and hide table, 2nd, to show table and hide pie chart.
highlight some data on pie chart and use bookmark to show related data on table visual. (this is not working now)
if you still confused then let me know.
Kind Regards,
Ahsan
Hi @Anonymous,
highlight some data on pie chart and use bookmark to show related data on table visual. (this is not working now)
I'm a little confused about this option. Do you mean that you want to redirect to the table visual by bookmark to show the details when you highlight on some data of the pie chart?
If it is, I'm afraid this option is similar to drillthrough.
You'd better share a dummy pbix file which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

Cherry
As you know using bookmark you can show hide visuals on same page, that is what I am talking about, it has got nothing to do with drilltrough options.
I repeat again...
create 2 visuals on SAME page a pie chart and a table visual
create 2 BOOKMARKS
first BOOKMARK will hide table visual and show pie chat
second BOOKMARK will hide pie chart and show table.
HIGHLIGHTsome value on one visual (Lets say pie chart) and see when you click BOOKMARK (related to show table visual), the HIGHLIGHTED context (from pie chart) is passed to table. (not working)
meh...I do not have time to create PBIX file...
Kind Regards,
Ahsan
comon....
Hi @Anonymous ,
Thanks for your repeat. I have understood your scenario clearly. By my tests, I could reproduce your scenario. I'm afraid that the hightlight context cannot pass to table when click bookmark if your bookmark not saved the filtered value.
As the document has mentioned, when you create a bookmark, the following elements are saved with the bookmark:
So for your scenario, if you want to achieve your requirement, I'm afraid that you should create the bookmark with the filtered table visual so that when you click the bookmark, it will show you the filtered value.
Best Regards,
Cherry
