count the numbers in each month

Capture 22.png

Hi,

I have record of data for past 3 years that looks like above and need to count the number of MachineID in each month.

All the records are based on the first day of each month since 2015. All the machine ID are unique value in each month so need to count the number of them per month.

Thanks

Drop you date column and machine id column in table visual and next to  machine id column, in drop down, choose count and you will count of machines by date.

Thanks for your reply @parry2k. But in the visual I want, I need to put the value count of number of each machin per month subtracted from total number of machin in per month and total number of the machine and put as a stack colunm chart.

Is there a way to do it?

Yes it can be done, if you can send sample data, I will get back to you with the solution.

Hi @parry2k

I am sorry that I can't send you the sample data as it is from SQL server. Could you please provide me a formula instead?

Just copy some records from sql to excel and send it, if you still cannot do it, i will send the formulas tomorrow.
