copy a column to another table

HI,

I have a PBI newbie and I have a problem simplified to the following. Please help.

I have a table  "Table-1" with 2 columns,

 SerialNum

 Qty

I have created another table   "Table-2" with the column

SerialNum2.  SerialNum2 has a 1:1 bidirectional relationship with SerialNum from Table-1

Now, I need a create a computed column in Table -2 , called  "QtyTimes2" where every element is twice the corresponding number in Qty.   (ie.   QtyTimes2 = related (table1[Qty])*2

MyTable-2 doesnt get populated with the data. Even the col SerialNum2 is never populated.

Looks like I am missing something very basic. Please help with any pointers.

thanks,

-Vittal

Hi @vittalk,

In your scenario, please check if the Table-2 and Table-1 has 1-1 relationship in Data page, and make sure the relationship is active.

Besides, based on my test, we can get column value from the related table. See:
