Hi all, I hope you're all well. I have a dataset that I cannot understand or know how to pivot it to the way that will help me build my dashboard in powerbi. Currently the Years are in column and I would like to bring them in rows.
Currently: Countries are in Rows and years are in columns.
Desired. I would like to bring years in the rows too.
So my tableau or powerbi can easily process. thank you so much for your kind help.
HI @Anonymous,
The simple way is create a matrix visual and drag year column to column fields and category column to axis fields, it will analytics and expand year to multiple column.
You can also consider to use query edit pivot column function to expand one column to multiple columns.

Hi @Anonymous
In the Query Editor, go to the table with countries and years in. Once there highlight all of the columns with years in and then, under the transform menu, select Unpivot Columns.
