Hi,
I am trying to have an evolutive report based time series data
1/ The Structure of Data
- Accounts table: Account | Object
one account will repeat as many times as he has objects
- Values table: Object | Timestamp | Parameter | Value
each Object will be repeated as many times as there are timestamps for the couple of (Parameter,Value)
2/ User needs to enter once, his "account" credentials, as parameter for this report
3/ The report will show the list of Objects under his account, in a 1st table
4/ We need to define a "template section" that show few gauges and historical data for each of the Objects of the list of item 3 above.
We want this "template section" to automatically repeat itself as many times as there are objects listed in the 1st table.
I used to do that in crystal reports 15 years ago. Any idea to do that in Power BI?
Thanks

Regarding the option 2&3 and "Account" credential, you can see Row Level Security in Power BI.
As to "template section", there's no such feature. Power BI doesn't support creating charts/visuals dynamically. You may show those "gauges and historical data" in one chart and put "Object" as the Legend field to make data distinguish.

Looking for help in Power BI to explain how to link a setof charts (gauges, hitory, averages) to an object's time series found in an initial list.
Let's see practically:
1/ The Data Structure (json files)
- Accounts table: Account | Object
one account will repeat as many times as he has objects
- Values table: Object | Timestamp | Parameter | Value
each Object will be repeated as many times as there are timestamp for the couple of (Parameter, Value)
2/ User parameter (account, password, dates)
User needs to enter once, his "account" credentials, as parameter for this report
3/ The matrix view (1st page of report)
The report will show the list of Objects under his account, in a 1st table
4/ The detailed view (all subsequent pages of report)
The "charts section" contains 3 gauges, 4 numbers, and 1 historical charts (with 3 lines) based on the Object it is related from 1st table, above
This "charts section" takes 1/3 of a page. It automatically repeats itself as many times as there are objects listed in the 1st table.
If there are 3 objects in the 1st table, the full report will be 2 pages long. If there are 4, it will be 3 pages long.If there are 6, it will be 3 pages long ...
Thanks
