Hi there,
I'm troubleshooting performance issue with loading queries in Power BI Desktop (March 2018 version). One of the other forums suggested removing the Auto Date/Time option under File > Options > Data Load. However, when I do this, Power BI Desktop freezes. I can continue to click and unclick options in that same menu, but the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons do not work; I'm stuck looking at the Data Load menu. Please help!
Best,
CD
Hi @cdok1091,
I'm also using the March 2018 version and everything works fine when I click and unclick Auto Date/Time option.
And you should know that when unclick the Auto Date/Time option, it will affect the Time Intelligence in DAX expressions like Table[Date].[Date] or Table[Date].[Year], etc and return errors. So if there exists a lot of Time Intelligence in your DAX expressions, when you unclick the option, multiple errors will occur. That's may be the reason why your Power BI Desktop freezes.
Have you tried to restart the Power BI desktop?
Thanks,
Xi Jin.
