I have 2 filters named Filterby(with values state and city) and State\City. If I select option State in filterby then State\City filter should populate state column, if I select option City then it should populate City Column. Is that doable?
@Anonymous
No. It's not possible to dynamically populate different column values into a filter/slicer for selection. We can put column names into filter/slicer and have corresponding column values populated in second cascading filter/slicer.
For your requirement, I suggest you use custom visuals, like Hierarchy Slicer.
Regards,
Custom Visual Hierarchy Slicer wont serve the purpose. I think we need some readymade solution or the developer can create his own Custom Visual.
Hi @Anonymous
It is doable. Please paste some data of your model.

Is Cascading possible only if the 2 filter dropdown fields are from the same table?
Or does Power BI have a feature where they can be cascaded even if the fields are from different tables?
I have a Project, Activity etc for example? Once I select a Project only those Activities related to the Project should be seen in the next dropdown slicer? Activity and Projects are from different tables.
