calculation of last day sales

I need a formula to calculate the sum of the sales of the last day that is in the sales table, which changes every day as my dashborad is acted. I have tried this formula but it does not work for me

Last day sales = calculate(sum(SALES[amount]),KEEPFILTERS( SALES[Date] = Lastdate(SALES[date])))

ERROR :A 'LASTDATE' function has been used in a True/False expression that is used as a table filter expression, which is not allowed.

Can you help me ?

VAR __lastDate = MAX ( Sales[Date] ) 
RETURN
calculate(sum(SALES[amount]),SALES[Date] = __lastDate )
