calculated column in Dataset, but not in every report

Hi All,

I have created for the finance department a balance sheet and income statement in LCY. For this I am using the given amount from the tables.

Now they have raised the question if it's possible to convert the LCY to EUR (reporting currency). I have done this before in different report and used normally a calculated column to calculate the value per amount. This is necessary before the amounts in the income statement needs to be calculated against the average exchange rate per selected month.

My Question is: Can I use the same dataset and add a calculated column but don't use it in all the linked report to this dataset. When a report is linked but is not using the calculated column. Will this column then calculated?

I hope it doesn't calculate it, because that will speed up the requesting time!

calculated columns are calculated after the data load.

Only measures are calculated during the request time.
