calculate(sum()); and calculate(sum();filter(all) does not ignore filter

Hi,

I am a bitt confused.

calculate(sum()); columnA="B" and calculate(sum();filter(all(columnA);columnA="B"

should ignore the filter contex and show the sum of ALL results where is B in a table.

I tried to produce this in several reports and in some reports its ignores the filter contex and in other reports it only shows the result where the "filter" Expression column A="B".

All the reports have the same structure no other filters etc....

How is this possible????????????++

Hi @Anonymous

As tested,

calculate(sum()); columnA="B" doesn't work on my side, we suggest not creating such dax formula.

For calculate(sum();filter(all(columnA);columnA="B",

i use a example as below

Capture5.JPG

Measure = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[NUMBER]),FILTER(ALL('Table'[columnA]),[columnA]="A"))

Column = CALCULATE(SUM('Table'[NUMBER]),FILTER(ALL('Table'[columnA]),[columnA]="A"))

When you apply [column] in ALL function, it igores the [column], but when there are other columns in visual, the measure would consider other columns.

Please read more details below:

Hi @Anonymous

Can you share the pbix or a simplified version that reproduces the problem? Otherwise it's tough to tell
