best way to handle blank/null dates

I have data regarding the roles a client holds.

Each role has a start and end date.

If the role is current, the end date is blank.

What is the best way to handle dates like this in PowerBI?

Do blank dates have reprocussions when used in measures?

@wilson_smyth depends what you want to achieve? There is no issue having blank dates.

thanks @parry2k the old "it depends", my fav answer here at work 🙂

I will be filtering records based on a start and end date (two sliders), and I may be doing a measure that counts the number of distinct records.
