appending imported data in power query causes direct query error

I have 2 tables that i have appended in power query, and i can seem them fine in query editor, appended, but when i load them in into the front end of power bi i get an error saying error with direct query, which is odd because im not even using direct query.  any clues?

Hi@ vanessafvg

You may try to disable Composite Models and append two table again

hi,@vanessafvg

This is likely happening because the composite models preview feature is turned on.you may try to disable other

preview feature and try it again.

and the same issue has been reported internally before: CRI 79697545.
