I have a requirement to show on a matrix, the intersection between values in two dimensions.
Dim1 is on the rows and dim2 is on columns, and i want to put an x or some value in the cell indicating they are related (see below screenshot of simplified modeland an example of required output).
I have managed to show the intersections using a measure
Measure = CALCULATE(COUNT(Dim2[Dim2ID]))
i dont think this is the best way to view this data, as if i have lots of dim1 or Dim2, the matrix will be very wide, or very long, or both. Also, if dimension descriptions are not very short and consise, the matrix looks terrible.
Is there a better way to view this type of data?
The sample data model is located here, if its any help.
Appreciate any expertise provided, thanks!
You can turn on Word wrap under Row headers and column headers in the matrix visual. Or you can choose other type of visuals in Power BI Desktop to display your data.
