add DATEIFF column to exist matrix

i created DATEDIFF column from two date column, and when i add this column to exist table, all the values disappear.

when i add thus two date column together, all the data not disappear. 

what can cause this issue?

@Anonymous  Do you mean existing table = Visual ? 

DATEDIFF generates the scalar value between two different units and since those dates are missing , it cannot understand where from the value should come hence this behaviou

no, if one of the values empty i will see empty value on this column.

my problem is when is when i add the column with dateiff, first screenshot you can see before i add duration column (the column with values, i just removed from the image) , and second screen short its after (all data disappear)
