accumulated by month and average by year

Hi everyone,

need a tip. I'm doing a report to have track of the companies turnover. The dataset is an accumulated headcount + terminations.

On my visual panel put a slicer by month, and a matrix with my values (measures).

if I select January, feb or March, data looks great. See the Monthly values as i need.

enero TO.PNGFebrero TO.PNGmarch TO.PNG

The problem is when I don't select any month on the slicer. If no month is selected on the slicer, the values on the matrix are showing the accumulated for the whole year. Is there a way to set  the no month selection as an average?

Summarizing, I would like to see the year average, and not the year accumulated.

Thanks & Regards!

I'll modify the measure to if has a selection in Month calculate the regular measure and if no selection on Month Calculate the Average.

Hi @Vvelarde thanks for your answer.

This are my measures, how should I modify them to add the if selection month calculate regular, if no selection calculate the average?

Headcount = SUM('Detalle Dot Mes Ant (Headcount)'[Dot Cierre AJ])

Bajas Inv = SUM('Bajas Acum (Terminations Accum)'[BajaI])

Bajas Vol = sum('Bajas Acum (Terminations Accum)'[BajaV])

Bajas Otras = SUM('Detalle Dot Mes Ant (Headcount)'[Baja Otras])

Bajas Tot (Vol+Inv) = [Bajas Inv]+[Bajas Vol]

TO INV % = [Bajas Inv]/[Headcount]

TO VOL % = [Bajas Vol]/[Headcount]

TO Total % (Inv+Vol) = [Bajas Tot (Vol+Inv)]/[Headcount]

Thanks & regards!

Solve it using

Headcount = SUM('Detalle Dot Mes Ant (Headcount)'[Dot Cierre AJ])/DISTINCTCOUNT('Detalle Dot Mes Ant (Headcount)'[Nombre AÑO MES])
