Year wise comparison

Hi,

I have last 3 years data i.e 2018,2019,2020. (date column in dd/mm/yyyy)

I want to show  year wise comparison of cost against client's name but not able to do with given formula.

Last Year Spend = CALCULATE(SUM(table[Spend]),SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR(table[Date]))

If I select only year in date hierarchy last year spend measure is blank.

if i dont select anything in date hierachy it shows like this 

Please help me to calculate year wise (2019 vs 2018)

Create YTD or year lag measures usinf datesytd, totalytd

YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(('Date'[Date]),"12/31"))

Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year),"12/31"))
Last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(ENDOFYEAR(dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year)),"12/31"))

Last to last YTD Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),DATESYTD(dateadd('Date'[Date],-2,Year),"12/31"))

Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))
2 Year behind Sales = CALCULATE(SUM(Sales[Sales Amount]),dateadd('Date'[Date],-1,Year))

To get the best of the time intelligence function. Make sure you have a date calendar and it has been marked as the date in model view. Also, join it with the date column of your fact/s.
