Year to date, if else DAX

Hi, 

 

I'm trying to create a calculated column, that gives me a 1 is a date is within a parameter, and 0 if it is not. currently my DAX looks like this, but it is not working?

 

Any help?

You need to include RETURN after (under) the second VAR expression.
