Year & Month on X-Axis not working

Hi

I cannot seem to create a very simple chart that makes use of a Year & Month breakdown on the X-Axis?

This works perfectly when doing the same thing - using the same SSAS Cube in Microsoft Excel, why not in power BI?

Hi @iansa,

I have tested it on my environment, I can use the drill-down feature from a date dimension table without any issues. So in your scenario, please make sure you have create a date hierarchy in your cube correctly. And you need to turn on drill down feature before you can use it.

Hi There,

The chart view you have posted is drill down feature in PowerBI. However, By dragging the month/year to column series, you can see the expected result.

Not sure this is what you would like to see.

Thanks & Regards,
