Year Over Year comparison with two sales files

Dear PBI Community,

I am beginner on Power BI and I am struggling to put in place a chart which combine Y-1 and Y sales data. The problem is that these data's are separeted into 2 files. Each file contains these two columns :

I would like to put in place a line chart which combine these two data and see the evolution...

Could you please help me guys ?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi D_ATeam,

From what I understand you have 2 files(csv or excel) and each of those files have 2 columns(ds and y).

You can use the append option in Query editor to append both files as one file.

- for this to work, you both files need to have these number of columns and also thesame coluomn headers.

or

You can put both files into one folder, and then connect to the fold having both files as oppose to connect to each file.

If this does not solve your problem, provide more details with more pictures..

Hi @Anonymous ,

1. If you want to combine the data:

 i. You could import folder(Get data-->Folder), but these files may need the same format.

ii. You could also append these queries in the query editor.

2. If you want to compare the data:

 i. You could create relationships between the two tables. Then you could show them in the line chart.

ii. You could also merge them in the query editor.
