YTD function shows similar as original sales for matrix type of visualization

Hi community, 

I am working on YTD sales calculation, but I am using the date table my company created for the fiscal calendar. DAX formula doesnot show any error but the calculation turns to be empty . Is there something I am missing . when I put the YTD calculation as a table format that YTD i created works fine, but When I try to put in matrix and put the relevant fields to it then the YTD doesnot work .

The below screenshot shows YTD 

but when I work with the matrix column like the one below with relevant fields then the YTD function doesnot work. 

I get similar values as the original sales values ... so nothing different in my YTD function. Is there anything I am missing here please help
