YEAR in the report getting aggregated

Hi All i am using a Direct Query and for the YEAR i am using YEAR(ORDERDATE) AS ORDERYEAR, i even tried DATEPART(YEAR,ORDERDATE) AS ORDERYEAR. The dataset shows the data correctly, but in the report when i tried using in a table, all the years are getting added up. The order year is showing as (2016+2017+2018+2019=8070). Please advice.

Are you able to change the year column to text? Alternatively you should be able to set the Default Summarization to "Do not summarize".

got i tcast to nvarchar(4) and worked.

No i cannot change it to text and my default summarization is set to "dont summarize" and is greyed out.
