Without ROW level Security method restricted Rows

 

Without ROW LEVEL SECURITY Method in Power BI restrict ROW in POWER BI

Because if implement ROW LEVEL SECURITY method user can't login workspace.we share the report he got email he open email link but my user login Power BI service and click the Workpace then report view

 

Myquestion:My user login workspace we can access his ROWS only in the report

 

I have Workspace Name:CONTRYDETAIL

if login l@compnyname.com he can see only A and B City

if login M@compnyname.com he can see only C City

 

if login M@compnyname.com he can see only E and FCity

remaing member ALL citys


I have two olumns 

City Amount

A    300

B  2000

C 400

D 100

E 500

F 100

G 400

I don't understand why you don't want to use RLS in such scenario.

 

And no, there is no other SECURE way to filter rows other than RLS

user shoud be login Workspace then select the report.if using RLS user cant login Workspace we share the report and user select only weblink or he receive email.

Sorry it's really hard to understand.

 

You said "user login" so I understand that there is a workspace where Powerbi understand WHO is logged in. A "public shared" (i.e. weblink) report does not have any knowledge of who's logged in.

So regardless of RLS or not, to be able to understand WHO is the person (and therefore filter rows) you need to have a logged in user. 

If you want to send report A to user A and report B to user B (via public links) you need to have two different reports.
