Why do I have so many auto recovered files

Hi all,

Power BI Desktop keeps telling me that it has auto recovbered files for me to review. I seem to get one, two or three every day. Crashes are quite rare, certainly a lot less frequest than one a day, so I don't know why these auto recovered files are stacking up. Is this unusual or is this number standard?

If it's unusual then maybe I have an unstable model that is crashing silently in the bacxkground without telling me. I'm not sure what tools/methods exist to test this. My model is quite large.

Thanks

Ian

Hi @IanR,

Do you have the "Keep last Auto Recovery version if I close without saving" option in the Auto Recovery tab of the Options dialog checked?

When this option is checked, you will also see an info bar prompting you to recover those files, if you close without saving. Smiley Happy

Thanks
