Why a dollar sign on a decimal field

I have a decimal field 1.2 when I desplay the field it has a dollar sign. How do I remove the dollar sign?

Where do you have the dollar sign: in the qiuery editor, in the datamodel, in a visual?

My best guess is that you need to adjust the format in the datamodel.

So I was right: your second screen shot clearly shows that the value is formatted as currency.
