Why Filters not retained

Hi All ,

I have requirements where i want to filter the data based on the selection in matrix visualization.

For Example - i have 2 Tables, Country , State,city

I have 3 Matrix visualizations.

One for each table with some measures.

My requirement is when i Click Country , it has to filter corresponding States. When i click on specific state, it has to show corresponding City.

It works at the first level. When i Click Country it filters corresponding states and City. After that ,when i click State , the filters are not retained and it shows all state in the table.

Is it how power BI works?

Please note i dont want Slicers in my dashboard.

hi, @venkatnitt84

Just ctrl+click on data points in multiple charts and have the cross filters applied to your entire report.

See this blog:
