Why 2 values are different when applying same aggregation?

Hi,

I was wondering why I am getting 2 different values in 2 calculated columns when applying AVERAGE in both.

first column -:

This 'Average of new A' i converted from here-:

Then in Second column I applied DAX function Average-:

Why both the Average values are different? Is it something different behaviour of both the ways to apply average in a calc column?
Please help!!

Hi @Anonymous

Based on my test, when there is no repetitive value in the table, 'Average of new A' shows values of each current row(e.g. 1/1; 2/1; 3/1; 4/1), the column I applied DAX function Average shows arithmetic average (sum of all values/total count of the values, e.g.(1+2+3+4)/4)

However, when there are duplicate values in the table, 'Average of new A' shows values as the the column I applied DAX function Average . This is because 'Average of new A'  consider all rows as its current context.
