Hi Experts,
As I am working on some project that is retiring in October and I should create the ad-hoc reports for the historical data(10 years ), So My doubt is like should i go for import mode or direct query mode.
Or by using direct query mode, if I change the storage mode to dual mode(what it does), for each report we are taking only one table.
for this report should have to schedule any refresh and all?
Waiting for your response.
Regards,
Kousar
If you can load all data into your available size and the refresh time is acceptable for your specific use case (no need for refresh at all in your case) then it's always best to go for import mode.
If you did need some live data added in have a look at hybrid tables
Have a look at to give you general idea: https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2020/05/24/limit-the-amount-of-data-you-work-with-in-power-bi-desktop-u...
Ignore the later bit on deployment pipelines (not supported with just pro).
I'd also use a date parameter rather than a strict top 5.
You can create a parameter and then use it to filter the date column.
I'm away from a computer but can send more detail tomorrow if needed.
