What should I expect as a Load Time in Power BI Desktop

Hello,

I have a work book with 6 tabs and approx 24 visuals on each tab. When it comes to making small changes, be it selecting from my slicer, switching between tabs, or simply changing the decimal places takes anywhere from 1-2 minutes. When I try to change an existing calcualtion, create a new column it is much longer, close&apply query changes, etc , I am typically looking at around 5-15 minutes.

I am using an import, this had helped previously vs running a direct query.

Is there something that I should be doing differently?

Attached is a sample of one of my pages. (Confidential numbers have been whited out)

HI,@tstackhouse

There are two main reasons lead to long load time:

1.You need to optimize your model

        here is the reference: https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/data-import-best-practices-in-power-bi/

      2. your hardware performance

Best Regards,

Lin
