Hi @pswain ,
There are several methods for you connecting to ServiceNow in Power BI.
1. Connect to ServiceNow content pack directly in Power BI Service. You can review the tutorial here.
2. Connect to ServiceNow via PBIT file in Power BI Desktop, then publish the PBIX file to Power BI Service。
3. Connect to ServiceNow using ODBC connector in Power BI Desktop, for more details, please review this blog.
And about the data refresh, please check the offical document about Gateway.

The best way to do it is to take the S-NOW API URL and copy the web connector to POWER BI, it will pull all the data in the correct format. so whatever we do the changes in records, it will update the same in Power BI. I would recommend using WEB URL connector to connect S-NOW URL to PowerBI, It will work for sure.
Let me know if any have doubts, I can reach out to you and help you on this.

Hey @pswain ,
please start here with your learning:

Besides that, look for examples where other users are importing data from web APIs like Service Now, depending on the nature of the API, this can be somewhat difficult.
Here is an example of how a REST API can be used as a data source.

@pswain I'm not sure what you mean by your point number 2 and that says you have a Power BI desktop account - you will need a PowerBI.com account to create dashboards. Login to PowerBI.com and follow the steps in this documentation to setup your dataset direct to the web service using PowerBI.com (NOT desktop) and then create a dashboard from PowerBI.com using the API data.

Hi,
Thanks. Do we need to have a third party connector in order to connect the S-NOW Data to Power BI?
If I use the Web URL in the PBI connector, Is that going to refresh the automatic data in Power BI?
Thanks
