What happened to the HTML Viewer Custom Visual? It is no longer on the AppSource?

Hi all,

I have a couple reports that uses the HTML Viewer Custom Visual, and it works rather well like so: https://imgur.com/qeZc6c8

However, it is no longer on AppSource and if I go to the app source page it returns a 404 error. AppSource Page

What happened to it? Is there a way, perhaps, to use the visual via a custom .pbviz file instead of importing it from AppSource?

Thanks!

@Anonymous ,

Unfortunately this custom visual has been off the app store. You can create your own custom visual using power bi visual tools(pbiviz). Please refer to doc below:

https://microsoft.github.io/PowerBI-visuals/docs/quickstarts_old/step-by-step-on-how-to-create-your-first-visual/

Luckily, the HTML Text Styler Visual which is available on AppSource can replace the HTML Viewer. You can get it from here: https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/power-bi-visuals/wa200002071?tab=overview

Sorry KTeam, thats not the same thing. You have a HTML Color sytler control. This HTML control was a HTML code render within PowerBI. You can get us all excited when we can dump in HTML code and have it render within powerbi.

The HTML Text Styler visual can render HTML code in Power BI.

You can download a sample report from here: https://kteam.ch/text_styler_sampe_report

No idea, you would have to contact the publisher of it. Probably could import it via PBVIZ unless it violated some usage rights.
