What does "??" symbol do in Power BI?

or Replaces the current level of grouping with the next one in the hierarchy ?

or Shows the next level of grouping in a visual for a specific datapoint ?

I don't think I've ever seen a '??' symbol in PowerBI.  Can you share a screen shot?
