Weird error while trying to connect an online excel file to PowerBi desktop

Hey, Power Bi Guru's

Here is an error that pops up. And I have no idea how to fix it.

I was connecting a file according to this tutorial: https://5minutebi.com/2018/04/09/power-bi-using-and-refreshing-excel-datasources-with-onedrive/

Maybe there is something wrong with the path that I am getting from excel: https://d.docs.live.net/a5438ba40ee5c9dd/Documents/FILENAME.xlsx

Hi @zenonsbelskiss ,

Make sure you open the file in Excel and copy the path.

If you still can't connect, try clearing the connection cache's credential information in the data source settings, and then try connecting again.

@zenonsbelskiss , what is that online platform. If one drive or google drive you need to a small change in URL. Hope you have done that

@amitchandak, Strangely enough, my copied path from an excel file does not contain the last few characters that have to be removed.
