Hi, I am trying to find a way to calculate a weighted average weight per month considering the weight and volume per item per month per plant. For some reason, I cannot manage to make a measure that only adds the volume sold per month per plant. Hence, I am missing my denominator when calculation the weighted average % (item volume for the month/total volume of the month).
After, I will use that percentage and multiply it by the weight of each item. The sum of that new column would be the weighted average weight per month per plant.
I would appreciate if someone could provide some guidance. I am fairly new in the Power BI software, and haven't manage a way to replicate what I am able to do on Excel.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
** Ignore the errors in the pivot table. I do not know why I am getting those. Use month 2 as an example.

Thanks a lot Ashish this helps! I am just wondering can the denominator calculation be built as a measure instead? I have been told that the adding column feature run slowlier than a measurement.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks again!
You are welcome. That will take a ot of time. Please plug in your actual data here and let me know whether everything is working fine for you or not.
@Greg_Deckler Thanks for your swift reply!
I could send you the example I have on excel, it will better show what I am trying to accomplish. Is it possible for you to send me an email address where I can send the info?
Thanks
@Anonymous Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
