Hi there, I have a hopefully simple question but I just cannot solve it at the moment.
I would like to calculate a weighed sum.
I have 5 topics with Average Values and a weighting (Gewichtung).
I am using this dax for calculating the ValueTopic:
ValueTopic = AVERAGE(CombinedDataset[Value]) * SUM(TopicGewicht[Gewichtung])
But as you can see the total is wrong because it just calculates 6,4 *1 =6,4 instead of 1,21+0,95+2,1+1,29+1,18 =6.73.
I tried to use SUMX but did not really understand.
Hope you can help me 🙂

Can you try the following formula and see if it works:
ValueTopic = SUMX(VALUES (CombinedDataset[TOPIC]), CALCULATE(AVERAGE(CombinedDataset[Value])) * CALCULATE(SUM(TopicGewicht[Gewichtung])))
Please try this expression that references your existing measure. Use it instead in your visual. Replace Table with your actual table name.
NewMeasure = SUMX(VALUES(Table[Topic], [ValueTopic])
