We cannot convert a value of type Record to type List when merging tables

I'm getting the following message when trying to merge two tables together:

Expression.Error: We cannot convert a value of type Record to type List.
Details:
    Value=Record
    Type=Type

What does this mean? The two tables were merged and worked fine earlier all of a sudden I get this error now.

What is your data source?

Could you show me your option in Query Editor with a screenshoot which can reproduce the scenario, so that we can help further investigate on it?
