Way to create Geo-coding (Long-/Latitude) from an adress

Hi all,

is there an "integrated" way in PBI to create Longitude and Latitude data from adresses.

E.g. let's say we got Country,State,Zip,Street, Building

and I want to create the two dimensions from that?

I know that there are some workarounds like using BingMapsPortal and register as DEV and use an API Key...and so on.

I do not like this approach too much as I do not want to register and I am not sure if the API Key is permanent.

Second one is creating a R script within PBI or using R (Studio) to create my own maps. But as people are used to use the standard map from PBI, I'd like to stick to that approach.

So, is there any conversion within PBI Desktop that does that job already that it's possible to create 2 columns for the long/lat data?

Hi @v-angzheng-msft ,

not exactly what i was looking for. I am using now Bing-geo data via the API, but it looks like PBI Service is not able to process dynamic sources as my solution works in Desktop, but not in Service. I will open another thread on this. Thanks
