Waterfall - Not calculated total

Hello,

I've just received a weird need from my business and I have no idea to handle it.

They want to display a waterfall chart but both categories and total should comes from the data. Therefore the Total is not calculated by Power BI.

Below it's an example of the need. In the data the "Category 1...12" and the Total is the same field. But they want to get the Total in the different shape than the other results.

Is existing a way to do this ?

Thank you.

hi, @Anonymous

Is your data structure like this?

1.PNG

If so, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now. you may try to set visual level filter to filter column1 total data

2.PNG

and if you want to get the Total in the different shape than the other results

You may try to drag the total into a different visual, like Pie chart

For your requirement, you could post your new idea in Power BI ideas and make this feature coming sooner .

Best Regards,

Lin
