Vlookup by containing same word

Hi.

I have two data from different sources and want to add new segment colunm(in data 1) next to where are the model names are combined. one table(data2) has all the individual model name and its segments.

I want to use something like V lookup in excel and create a segment colunm for data1 as long as it contains at least one same model in the combined models.

Sheet1.JPGData1. I want to create a segment colunm in this table by search the matching model name from Data 2sheet2.JPGData 2.Hope it make sense!

Re: Vlookup by containing same word

HI, @megan2010

If one models contains many model, the segment will have more than one value.

so you need to create a new table as below:

this is simple data

1.JPGdata12.JPGdata2

Then use this formula to create a new table by SEARCH Function

Table = FILTER(GENERATE(data1,data2),SEARCH(data2[Model],data1[Modes],1,0)>0)

3.JPG
