Visuals show leading zeros

This is my problem

extra decimals.png

I have tried setting my Cost column to Decimals, Currency and even Whole number, but whatever i do, the visuals like bar chart display extra zeros when in my dataset in Query shows normal figures like 725,000

Any ideas? thanks a lot.

Have you tried changing the Data labels format options for the visualization itself?  I have found these settings override column/measure formatting settings.  Steps:

1. Select your chart.

2. Access the Format pane by clicking the paint brush icon.

3. Expand Data labels.

4. Enter 0 in the Decimal Places box.

@e2hass

I cannot repro your problem with default settings. Please check the setting mentioned by chrisu.
