Visualizations not updating when excel source file has been updated

Hi,

Very frustrated.  Thank you in advance.

Details:

Excel source file stored on desktop and updated daily through data entry

PBI opened and Refresh icon clicked

The dataset table brings in contents of excel source file 

The visual does not show new data from excel source file

    Using a vertical stacked bar graph

Second page visual in the dashboard shows new data but the first page visuals does not

Any ideas as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

Please check these tips and have a try to see if it will work

1. Does the first page visual and Second page visual both using a vertical stacked bar graph and the same data points?
2. Is any filter add to this visual?
3. Create a new stacked bar chart and add data points to it
4. Select another visual and add data, then transform this visual to a stacked bar chart
5. Clear the cache, please refer to this article.
