The filter on the right is highlighting my clicked item. The filter on the left is not working. These are seperate views.

You may go to Model view, create relationships between the fields of left side and right side.
In addition, you may check if the"no impact" icon chosen on the left sides visuals due to the "Edit interactions" of right side visual. Just check it by selecting a right Matrix first, go to Format-> Edit interactions, check if "no impact" icon is chosen for the left Matrix.

Best to check the data model and its connections.
If there is no connection between the tables the filters wont work.
Also make sure that 'Cross Filter Direction' is set to both and not single
The left side is calculated measure's is that a reason for it not working?
@aishak12 Seems like there is no realtionship between the two views which is why the filters is not working as it should be
OR
Might be you would have turned off the interaction of visual in power bi
