Hi All
I have a Visual that cannot be displayed when using a slicer. If i do not use a slicer the following measured will display the filter correctly. If i use a silcer and filter a country who's currenty is USD dollars, it isual will not be displayed. I think my dax fomula might need to be change but not sure how to go about it.
Hi @Anonymous ,
For this issue, can you give us more information?
First, where do your 'CQMS_MNC_DATA_V[CurrenCY]' column and 'CQMS_MNC_DATA_V[TOTAL_COST]' come from? A column calculated column or a measure by DAX?
Second, what fields do you use in the visual and the slicer?
Best regards,
Lionel Chen
Hi
Sorry for the delay but was outof town. The Total cost is from my database and there is no calulations on the Total Cost. The 123COPQ_CONVERT_USD is the Dax calulated measured. From the images below when I have No slicer selected the dax measured reports its fine but when when I select a slicer, the visual cannot be displayed. They are no filters except when using the slicer on the left. I think it might be with my Dax formaula but not sure.
Any thoughts from anyone on this issue?
Hi @Anonymous ,
I reconstructed your formula, but I didn't report an error. because I added [Curreny] column in the slicer.
Measure =
SUMX(
Sheet2,
[Total_cost] *
VAR x = [Curreny]
RETURN
SWITCH(
TRUE(),
x = "A", 1,
x = "B", 1.29,
x = "C", 0.0145,
1
)
)
So the problem is the relationship between the fields in the slicer and the measure you created.
What's the relationship between the field in the slicer and other columns in the table?
Best regards,
Lionel Chen
Hi
All the data fields is from the same table. The slicer is from the same Table as well. i think it might be the dax measured I created to convert the different curency to USD dollars .
Let me know if i answer your questions. Thanks
Hi @Anonymous ,
can you give me a sample data table?
Because it's difficult to find the issue if I don't have a data model.
Best regards,
Lionel Chen
@Anonymous
can you please share the PBIX file to re-pro the issue.
