Visual Options - Hide the visual header feature

I have a dashboard in which the option to Export to Excel is not showing (when published).  Based on a recent "enhancement" by Microsoft, there is now an option to "Hide the visual header in reading view".  Using this toggle (pictured) below seems to have no effect on my ability have the Export capability.

In the picture below, where I would traditionally see the ability to export - you can see there is not an elipses.  In the Desktop file, you can see elipses - but not when the file is published.

All help is appreciated.

Hi @irnm8dn,

In your scenario, you have enabled the "Hide the visual header in reading view" option. And when you publish the report to Power BI Service, the elipses on visuals are disappered however they are still here in Power BI Desktop. Right?

I have made some tests. And I can repro your issue. It seems like that this feature can only be used on Power BI Service.

So if you want to make this feature work on both Service and Desktop side. I would suggest you to submit an Idea here for a feature request.

Thanks,
Xi Jin.
