Visio visual - two levels of hierarchy

Let's say I have this structure in Visio.

I also have this data in Excel:

Is it possible to make a "two-level slicer" so that I could filter data on i.e. A or a1?

What I mean is... is it possible to use two "ID" columns instead of one.

You can achieve your scenario even with one ID column. You will have to model your data like this:

LevelData
Aasds
Afs
A1asds
A2fs

Well, I think it won't work in my situation.

I have an organisation structure and, apart from columns for Divisions and Departments, there is a column for employees.

If I choose a person he or she will have duplicated figures.

EDIT: Well, ok, I can divide it by two 🙂 Let's try! 🙂

EDIT2: No, it doesn't work. When I see all the company I have to divide salaries by two, but when I choose a particular Department I should not divide. It would be quite difficult to create a proper measure in such case.

What if you split the table into two. One having department information that is bound to Visio visual and one having person information (with a foreign key to department table)?

So the "visio table" should have one column, right?

And how should I connect it to my "person table" which has two columns?

Visio table will have 2 columns (Division (primary key), some aggregate to be placed to values section). The second column is needed for filtering to work. You can represent the second column as color and delete all the color ranges if you wish.

Next have 2 tables (name, division (foreign key), function, salary) and (name, dept (foreign key), function, salary).

You can Import from the store... I am not sure it is related to your question but have a look at it...

I know that one.
I wanted to use a "nice" graphic.
