I've created a line chart that shows cumulative sales for the month. I've then added a Forecast line to this graph to predict where the sales will be at the end of the month.
However I want to use this value in other measures. How can I reference these values in a measure? I think the easiest way would be to replicate the forecast using a measure but I have no idea how to do it.
Here's how I built the forecast line. I've told it to ignore the past 7 days as they data may be incomplete.
Hi @Veles,
I'm afraid we can't use it directly. Firstly, it's a range. Secondly, we have to rebuild it with formulas even we can use it. I would suggest you create an idea here.
Best Regards,
Dale
Thanks Dale I thougt that might be the case
What is the best way of replicating this forecast? I've not been able to find anything about replicating these forecast models in DAX.
Thanks
Hi @Veles,
If you can provide the math formula of forecast, I can help you translate it in DAX. Some reference: https://robjhyndman.com/hyndsight/intervals/, https://stats.stackexchange.com/questions/225322/making-a-forecast-confidence-prediction-tolerance-i...
