Hi
I am using the below matrix (Screenshot 1) to show our actual spend, budget & prior year actual alongside some variances. Each column is calculated using a measure.
When you look at one month this is okay but as you select multiple months it becomes overbearing. I would like to have the ability to pick and choose which measures appears in the matrix. So if you just wanted to see all the actuals (Screenshot 2) then this would be the only column/measure to appear.
If you want to see the actuals & budget (screenshot 3) both of these columns/measures would appear etc. This will allow the user to build the report they want to see (screenshot 4).
How would i achieve this?

Sorry, i not sure what you mean exactly?
@Rushton92 the best approach is creating a calculation group and each measure will be part of a calculation item, once this is done, you can use calculation items as a slicer, and based on your selection you will be able to show respective measures in the visual.
There are a lot of blogs/posts on this, search for calculation group.

Thanks for the above, a calculation group has done exactly what i wanted. The only problem i now have is i don't have a column subtotal as the button under the format section has disappeared. Have i just not ticked something or are column subtotals not compatible with calculation groups?
Hey @Rushton92 ,
you have to create a disconnected table that represents the measures you want to show. This table is also then the slicer. Then you have to check what is selected and return the corresponding value.
Check the following article on how to do that, that describes exactly what you need:

Hi, Thanks for the above. Your solution did work if I only wanted to see one item. I wanted to be able to see multiple items and calculation groups has done this for me.
Hey @Rushton92 ,
you can select multiple values with the slicer. Like this it also will work with my approach.
But I'm happy you could solve it.
