Using a DNS address to connect to a MYSQL database

Hello,

I currently connect to a MQSQL database through power query using the syntax IP:Port , I've just found out that the IP address is actually dynamic and changes without warning every now and then. Is there a way that I can connect to PBI using the DNS address? Everytime I've tried this it won't work and I can only connect using the IP.  Has anyone run into this problem before?

Baicaslly I'm looking for a way to connect to a dynamic IP address or a DNS address within Power BI.

Cheers!

Yes, you can use the FQDN of the load balancer.  What error message do you get and does your load balancer owner have an opinion on that?  (Asking because I know that we had a lot of issues with ODBC connections to load balancers and had to work with Microsoft and the data system owner to fix that connector).
