Use slicer to filter table based on a field from another dataset

Hi,

I want to use the TimeByDay field from the AssignmentTimephasedDataset  in a slicer and i would like this slicer to filter my table which consists of data from the Tasks table. Below is an image of the current relationship and also the field i require.

So far, i have tried adding the TimeByDay field into a slicer however when i try to filter, the table remains the same and nothing changes.

Can i get some advice on this please

@TodGrindley,

Make the relationship active and set cross filter direction to 'Both' in the Edit relationship dialog.
